Winola Free Library

Winola Free Library Project, April 3, 2019

Sherrard fourth graders and high school students worked together to put in a free library outside of the Winola Elementary School. Carly Minch, fourth grade teacher at Winola, tasked her students early in the school year with a problem based learning project. It became a collaborative effort with Sherrard High School students in various workshop classes, taught by Ag Instructor John Rasty. Together, the kids designed, built, painted and installed a free library at Winola Elementary, open to all area children.
